Challenges & Solutions

This 45 m² house construction project faced significant challenges due to the site's former swampy location. This required special treatment of the underlying structure.

The solution implemented was to carry out massive and planned landfilling (filling) throughout the residential area. After filling, the next crucial process was to wait for sufficient soil consolidation time. This waiting period was crucial for the fill soil to fully compact and reach its optimal hardness. With a stable soil foundation, we were able to begin structural work on the house, ensuring that the two-bedroom building, with granite floors and young teak doors, stood firm, free from the risk of subsidence that is common on former swampy land.
